Pre-owned jewelry - E-commerce platform and intake workflow
Context
This project focused on building a platform dedicated to pre-owned jewelry, with two core goals: a clear buying experience for customers and an efficient intake/publishing workflow for internal teams.
Key goals
- Showcase unique pieces with reliable product information
- Simplify and structure the intake workflow
- Keep catalog browsing clear and responsive
- Build solid SEO foundations for long-term growth
Approach
I implemented a WooCommerce architecture tailored to second-hand inventory:
- Detailed product pages (condition, specifics, origin)
- Structured attributes for filtering and discovery
- Faster publishing process in the admin
- On-page and technical SEO work (metadata, linking, performance)
Implementation
The WordPress/WooCommerce base was extended with business-specific adaptations for unique items. On the frontend, the focus was on helping buyers access key information quickly. In the back office, the priority was reducing friction when adding new jewelry pieces.
Outcomes
The platform improved product page quality, clarified the buying experience, and accelerated listing operations while maintaining stable site performance.
Conclusion
This case study highlights why e-commerce architecture must reflect business reality: in second-hand commerce, product rigor and editorial workflow quality are both critical.
